The Snowdon café might better be situated at the bottom of the mountain. Fill/load up by all means before your climb with all the relations implicit in gortex jackets, crampons, packaged food and water bottles - but don't take away the sense that you've got there on your own merits by filling up (or being drawn into new relations) at the top. Moving on from the artifice that is the top of the (natural) mountain as a place you (like to believe you) arrive in unencumbered, perhaps we could think about the pleasures of being semi-alone in a place, of reconnecting with your limited network of body and gortex jacket etc that have ascended to the top collectively, and of the thrill of physical exertion and arrival in a place that can only be reached by little packages of body-climbingtechnology-waterbottle relations.
