Invitation to a Free Workshop from the ADEPTT Project
Do you want to improve the support you provide to your part-time tutors?
ADEPTT is a 3 year HEFCE-funded national project which is now in its
final year. It’s aim is to look at the support and development needs
of part-time lecturers, and to develop approaches and resources for
departments to work with them. The approaches and the resource
materials have been extensively trialled in a range of institutions
with very positive feedback.
We are running two national workshops to offer these outcomes as a
model/resource for other Art and Design institutions. The first
workshop will be held in Manchester on Tuesday 10 May and we invite you
to join us to:
• Develop an action plan for working with Visiting Tutors in your
Department
• Try out the materials developed by the Project and take a pack of
support materials away with you
• Meet and share ideas with Art & Design colleagues
• Join the ADEPTT Network

Also, don’t forget to log onto our website on http://www.adeptt.ac.uk/
which offers a unique service for art and design lecturers. You will
find yourself in a “virtual staffroom” with interactive links to
resources on teaching and student support, events, and a “recruitment”
page where CVs and job adverts can be posted and browsed. All the
topics and resources on the site have been developed in consultation
with part-time lecturers themselves.
