be held at Carlisle Racecourse on 20 and 21 April 2005.

A national conference organised by the Rural Women’s Network (a project
initiated by Voluntary Action Cumbria). This event will highlight and
promote the importance of women’s contribution to rural communities and
economies, explore and develop strategies to facilitate the role of rural
women in the rural economy, and will aim to develop strategies to increase
the participation of women in decision-making and planning.
There will be a mix of international, national and local speakers,
including:
