Some places remain for this year's spring conference of the Society for
Name Studies in Britain and Ireland, which will be held at the University
of Wales Swansea from 2-5 April 2005.
We welcome local and family historians with a general interest in personal-
or place-names as well as others from any related discipline. We have a
membership of over 200, publish the annual journal _Nomina_, and normally
hold a day event in the autumn as well as this weekend spring conference.
Non-members are very welcome to attend events, and in the case of the
weekend conference we can arrange an non-residential rate if required.
Further details about the Society can be found at
<http://www.snsbi.org.uk/>
Details of the Swansea conference are attached below.
