Apologies for asking for help with a reference enquiry, but we are
really stuck on this on. We've been asked to find the source of the
following quote by Francis Bacon:
"heaping up of laws without digesting them maketh but a chaos and
confusion and turneth the laws many times to become but snares for the
people"
I have found it on the internet, in a law reform paper and also a
speech, but with no citation giving the original source. We have looked
at "The works of Francis Bacon" 7 vols. Searched all the quotations
books we can find, but had no luck.
If anyone can help with this we would be extremely grateful.
Many thanks,
Lynne Cobine
