--> IMHO Adenosine is not as bad or (sadly) as good as it's thought to be by
some. It is, however transient and, I suspect, so would VF be if it caused
it, which I doubt it would in this case.
I would not have used it - have seen a similar case go really fruit-shaped
while the 6mg-12mg sequence was being worked and went bad so quickly that
the first dose had not yet been given!
My 1st step after ABCs & generic stuff would be to slap on some hand-free
pads and set up cardioversion while someone explains what's happening and
someone else gets the sedation ready. Sedation will then be provided if,
happily, the patient has not gone fruit-shaped beforehand.
BTW, shouldn't we all be sleeping just about now? Should we not get a life?
