The Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences in
partnership with the European Science Foundation (ESF) invites applications
to the EUROCORES Programme European Collaborative Research Projects in the
Social Sciences (ECRP).
The ECRP Programme is designed to advance international research
collaboration in the social sciences by encouraging European academic
networking and pooling of research expertise. The EUROCORES Programme is
funded by participating national EUROCORES Funding Agencies (EFAs), with
additional support from the European Commission's Sixth Framework Programme
for central administration and networking.
The ECRP Programme is open to applications on topics in the social sciences
which demonstrate an international framework for research collaboration.
Project applications must involve collaboration among research teams in a
minimum of three participating countries. Irish national participants in
successful proposals may be awarded maximum funding of EUR190,000 for up to
three years and are subject to IRCHSS terms and conditions.
Full details are available via the ESF and IRCHSS websites at
http://www.esf.org/ecrp and http://www.irchss.ie
The deadline for receipt of applications by the ESF is 1 June 2005.
