I know this may be difficult to actually do accurately but would it be
possible for folk at UK EDs (no offence intended to non-UK members) to give
me an idea of what proportion of patients attending their ED have been seen
by primary care and referred to the ED for Medics / Surgeons / 'ologies etc. (with or without letters)
I am particularly interested in the bigger depts please but feel free to
join in if smaller (so could you include your new pt numbers too).
Am trying to find some evidence prior to constructing a 'big stick' (not
aimed at GPs I hasten to add)
If you wish to contact me off list that is fine
Thanks
Peter Cutting
