"Tools plan for disabled
TEENAGERS with special needs could soon be learning the tricks of a trade
to help provide developing countries with tools.
Plans for a rural craft centre at the Pennine Camphill Community site in
Chapelthorpe – also home to Wakefield Riding for the Disabled Association –
were submitted last week.
The Pennine Camphill Community is a therapeutic community and further
education college, registered with the Learning and Skills Council. It
offers education training and support for around 43 teenagers and young
adults with special needs."
