All,
Here is one from Alan Penny, usually there is some form of error message
when it comes to the display not working, but in this case I can not
see what could be wrong. Any ideas?
Steve.

Subject: Re: Vanishing Starlink PGPLOT
Steve,
As I said, the programs runs OK at the start. There is no error message.
What happens is that later, when I try to open a Starlink PGPLOT window,
it then,as normal, asks me for the 'device name' (such as 'xwindows'),
but it does not recognise any name I type in. This includes such 'old'
names as '/xw' and '/ps'. I mention these 'non-Starlink pgplot' names,
because those are the ones that, as expected, do still get recognised -
when I link the program with the 'native pgplot' subroutines.
When with 'starlink pgplot', I do the 'ask' and '?' responses to get a
list of available names, it types out - nothing.
It's almost as if the 'Starlink pgplot' s/w has a table of 'device'
names, and this has got wiped.
