I'm having a bit of difficulty building under OS X, and I'm sure there are a
number of different problems.
First, I just did a fresh checkout and during the bootstrap phase I get:
configure.ac:143: required file `pgplot_link.in' not found
configure.ac:144: required file `pgplot_link_adam.in' not found
cpg/Makefile.am: installing `.depcomp'
configure.ac:143: required file `pgplot_link.in' not found
configure.ac:144: required file `pgplot_link_adam.in' not found
autoreconf: automake failed with exit status: 1
Secondly, in an attempt to fix the GAIA build problems I was having, I updated
my g77 from 3.4.1 to 3.4.3. Now when I do a 'make world' HDS appears to build
fine, but when it tries to run the 'hds_machine' command I get:
./hds_machine >>hds_machine.txt
dyld: /Users/bradc/development/starlink/libraries/hds/.libs/hds_machine
Undefined symbols:

make: *** [all] Error 2
Naively I'd say that it looks like -lg2c isn't getting picked up for some
reason, but I have no idea where or how to fix it.
Brad.
