5th INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM COMPUTER SCIENCE IN SPORT
SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT
The International Association of Computer Science in Sport (IACSS) and the
Croatian Association of Computer Science in Sport (CACSS) are delighted to
announce the 5th International Symposium Computer Science in Sport that will
take place in Hvar, Croatia, between 25 and 28 May, 2005.
The Organizational Committee has decided to include ten plenary sessions,
covering key aspects of Computer Science in Sport. Each day will begin with
a plenary session
comprising keynote presentations from invited speakers. In order to promote
discussion and debate there will be respondents to each keynote
presentation. We have invited speakers of outstanding reputation, including
distinguished academics and professionals with extensive experience. Other
sessions throughout each day will comprise of free communications including
oral, poster and workshop presentations in parallel sessions. There will be
3 parallel sessions. Sessions will take place in the morning and afternoon.
The symposium will provide delegates with the unique opportunity to hear
international speakers reviewing their current research; to share in debates
that will inform on future research and practice; and to reflect on how the
future can promote and foster excellence, and engage the support of the
IACSS community. More detailed and updated information about the timetable

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS
Authors should provide an abstract with sufficient information for readers
to fully assess the aims, methods, results and implications of the research
in question. Authors are requested to submit a complete, one page (300-500
words) abstract which may be printed in the Abstract Book for IACSS2005.
Please ensure that you read the instructions for authors before submitting
your abstract. Each abstract will be reviewed before acceptance.
Presentations are encouraged from all relevant areas of study and will be
grouped thematically in relation to invited lectures and Symposium main
topics at the discretion of the Program Committee.
Notification of acceptance of abstracts will be sent to authors by 25
February 2005. Title, name(s) of author(s), city and country should be
included. Expressive titles are preferred to neutral ones. There are two
presentation categories: Oral (10 minutes in length followed by 5 minutes
for discussion) and Poster (will be on display during the symposium.

official website, or by email to: [log in to unmask] as attachment in: MS
Word, plain ACSII text or PDF format. Please check the appropriate box on
the abstract form indicating your preference (Oral or Poster) in your
submission. Please upload or email your final abstract(s) by 5 February
2005. The day/time of your presentation or poster session will be available
on the conference website in early May 2005, and will also be emailed
directly.
Please note: If your registration and full payment for your registration are
not received by 25 April 2005 your abstract will not be included in the
Abstract Book.
