10am-4pm.
“Gay and Grey……Looking Onwards with Hope” A One-day follow up to March
2003's Gay and Grey...With Diginity. Organised by Scarborough and
Ryedale Gay Community Network (SGCN).
The conference will discuss some of the issues raised last year, and
although the programme has yet to be fully comfirmed, speakers will
include:
Age Concern England: Baroness Barker, and Anthony Smith (Older LGB
Worker)
Health/ Legal issues: Lindsay Rivers from Polari, and others.
Religion/ Faith: Andrew Yip, Nottingham Trent University, and others
Peter Tatchell, LGB campaigner.
The conference will be a great opportunity to learn more about issues
relevant to older LGB individuals, and others and as well as speakers
there will be a number of display stands. The networking potential will
also be excellent for researchers, statutory and voluntary agencies, and
individuals looking to learn more.
The price of the conference includes refreshments and lunch, and a copy
of the conference report. The conference costs a mere £25 for statutory
bodies, and voluntary organisations with an income of over £100,000, and
£10 for voluntary organisations with incomes of £10,000- £99,999. It is
free to all other organisations and individuals.
