This is a question for local authorities - apologies to everyone else.
I am considering the options for records storage at Southwark, where
arrangements are, at the moment, very much ad hoc. I'd appreciate it very
much if you could give me an indication of what your authority does in this
area. I'm not looking for much detail, just whether you outsource storage,
manage it all in-house, use a combination of the two, or scan on a large
scale. Also whether you centralise, or manage it departmentally etc.
I'm not looking for arguments pro and con, as I know this is periodically
addressed on this list, just some kind of an idea of what other people are
doing.
