In an attempt to reach as many psychology postgrads as possible PsyPAG hold
a "linklist" of contacts in Psychology Departments around the UK.
This list is located at http://www.psypag.co.uk/main/linklist.html
If you find that there is no link person at your institution, or the person
previous in that role has now concluded their studies and moved on, or your
institution does not appear on the list, or you would simply like to be
involved please contact the Communications Officer at [log in to unmask]
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR LINK PEOPLE
Being a link person is an important job within PsyPAG, in assisting
representatives and administrative officers. Primarily it means agreeing to
receive information about our events through the post and subsequently
posting them up in a relevant place in your department.
You can be as enthusiastic (or not) as you like but you must agree to the
minimum of posting up the information that is sent to you. Occasionally
there might be additional information circulated but this will be kept to
minimum. We want very much to avoid it becoming just another mailing list
which people ignore once they have received the first few messages. It is
hoped that it will become a vital source of information about events
relevant to postgrads.
One condition of agreeing to participate is that you would pass on the role
to someone else within your department if for what ever reason you think you
are unable to continue.
We would like link people to assist in the effectiveness and promotion of
PsyPAG through:
1 putting up posters in universities
2 talking to postgraduates about their needs
3 giving information to and encouraging postgraduates to attend events and
write for the Quarterly, through email or verbally
4 becoming involved generally in events
5 perhaps also becoming involved in the organisation of the Annual
Conference if this is at your university
Of course, we would also encourage you to attend our Annual Conference, and
workshops which we organise. We would also welcome contributions to the
Quarterly ([log in to unmask]).
Further information is available from the website (www.psypag.co.uk) or the
Communications Officer ([log in to unmask]).
