Angela, thanks for your e-mail.
I have only just returned to work in the last year after having a 5 year
career break ( 18 months of which was spent in Australia) to have my
children so the thought of sitting exams is a nightmare. Prior to my break I
was sen 1 respiratory and therefore the idea of doing a clinical exam in
musculoskeletal is not good. I am currently doing orthopaedics on the bank
to update my skills.
Did you look into the new zealand route of emigrating as that does not
involve the exams although it does involve completing a portfolio of
competencies amongst other things?
Have you had info about the format of the exams. The website does not give
you any ideas until you have formally applied and paid your money. Do they
provide any study ideas or example questions.
I would be interested in any info you have, I have been so put off by the
whole thing that I may just decide to not work and spend my days surfing
with the kids in tow.
Any encouragement would be gratefully received
Diane
