2 Lectureships and 1 Research Fellowship
Applications are invited for three posts in one of the UK's leading Music
Departments.
Lectureship (ref: KB/000469)
The appointee will have a strong proven record of academic achievement,
including research, publication and teaching, in any area of musicology
except composition. Research and teaching specialism(s) in music from 1550
to 1750 may be advantageous. Salary: GBP29,250 - GBP38,017 per annum,
inclusive.
Temporary Lectureship (ref: KB/000472)
A Temporary Lecturer (three years from 1 October 2005) will provide research
input and teaching and administrative cover during Professor Jim Samson's
Leverhulme Research Fellowship. Applications are invited from
well-qualified candidates working in any area of musicology except
composition. Salary: GBP29,250 per annum, inclusive.
Research Fellow, AHRB Research Centre for the History and Analysis of
Recorded Music (CHARM) (ref: KB/004335)
The Research Fellow will work with Professor Nicholas Cook on
computational analysis of recordings of Chopin's Mazurkas. Expert
knowledge of the principles and practices of computational music analysis
is essential (preferably including the Humdrum Toolkit), and the appointee
will have completed or be near to completing a doctorate in a relevant
area. This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for two years from April
2005. Salary: GBP23,774 per annum, inclusive.
