The International Governance of Stem Cell Research
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW AND
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Applications are invited for two posts in the international governance of
stem cell research based within the Policy and Decision Making research
theme of the Institute of Health.
The Post-doctoral Fellowship is a full-time University funded post for five
years. Candidates should have a PhD in social science, preferably political
science, with broad relevance to the topic of international biotechnology
governance. Appointment will be made to the Research and Analogous 1A salary
scale £19,460 to £29,128 per annum.
The Research Associate is for an ESRC funded international project 'The
global politics of human embryonic stem cell regulation'. This forms part of
a wider ESRC initiative in stem cells that is supporting six social science
research teams across the UK examining different aspects of this new area of
the biosciences. The post is full-time for 27 months. Candidates should
preferably have a PhD degree in social science with broad relevance to the
topic of biotechnology governance or a related field. Appointment will be
made to the Research and Analogous 1A salary scale but starting salary will
be no greater than £23,643 per annum.
