According to Eddie Higgs, (A Clearer Sense of the Census pp 43 and 44),
fishing vessels were given ships' schedules if they arrived in port
between 26th March and 3rd April 1881(census night) or between 4th and
15th April. Hence they should be recorded in the CEBs of their home port
at the end of the household schedules.
On the Mormon records available from the Data Archive they can be
quickly identified by having a record type of 3. A quick check on my
copy reveals 288 vessels for Norfolk, mostly Great Yarmouth and Kings Lynn.
