I agree that it is very difficult to read such an unclear image. Also it
would help to identify the place names if the county was known. Is the
document from an early 17th century quarter sessions archive? I think
that the first word of the first line starts 'Recog .....' and the 4th
word seems to start 'Ses...'.
This suggests that it may be a recognizance to appear at a quarter
sessions court.
The 2nd line appears to start 'Rob(er)tus' and the 3rd-5th words 'de
Motbury Sampford'. and the last word might be 'xli' meaning that Robert
... of Motbury Sampford is pledged to appear for the sum of £10.
The 8th line appears to be 'Joh(an)es L.ch/L.ck de Symondbury yeo(man)
ten... deb...'
This John Lach/Lock, or similar surname, might be a surety for Robert to
appear in court
On the next line 'Matheus Wade de ead(em)', might mean that Mathew Wade of
the same place, was another surety.
If a clearer copy was posted it would make things a lot easier
