Industrial Symbiosis Network (ISNet) Project Officer
The Clean Environment Management Centre (CLEMANCE) at the University of
Teesside develops environmentally sustainable solutions through innovative
science and technology. CLEMANCE is the co-ordinator of ISNet, a network of
leading researchers and practitioners of Industrial Symbiosis. This is the
concept of companies collaborating to utilise each other’s wastes as raw
materials, much in the way all ‘waste’ is regarded as ‘food’ in natural
systems, with the ultimate aim of zero waste.
We are looking for a part-time project officer to run the network:
arranging meetings, recruiting new members, managing the development and
maintenance of network web pages on the CLEMANCE website, and developing
and maintaining an on-line database of IS literature. There is also an
opportunity to register for a higher degree. For more details, please see
