PH.D. Scholarship in Chinese Studies. East Asia Institute, University of
Cambridge.
The East Asia Institute at the University of Cambridge invites applications
for a Ph.D. scholarship in Chinese Studies funded by the Universities’
China Committee in London.
It is expected that this bursary will cover fees and a maintenance
allowance for the duration of three years starting in October 2005. The
scholarship is open to applicants from the United Kingdom, the European
Union (EU) and China (PRC).
Information about the Ph.D. program in Chinese studies is available at
http://www.eai.ac.uk. Active fields of research at the Institute include
modern Chinese literature, Chinese linguistics, economics, dynastic and pre-
dynastic history, thought and religion. Applicants are encouraged to
contact a member of staff in their field of interest for further
information.
Applications should be submitted to the Board of Graduate Studies of the
University of Cambridge; guidelines and forms are available at
