Departmental Lecturer in History and Politics of Modern China
DEPARTMENTAL LECTURER: Salary £19,460 - £25,699 p.a.
Applications are invited for the one-year fixed-term post of Departmental
Lecturer in the History and Politics of Modern China, to start on 1
September 2005. This post is a replacement teaching post. The person
appointed will have research interests in some aspect of the History and
Politics of Modern China, and will be required to teach undergraduate
students on Government and Politics in China (contemporary politics), to
teach and supervise graduate students on the M.Phil. in Modern Chinese
Studies, and to offer classes on China in War and Revolution 1890 to 1949
(late Qing and Republican history). Some additional tutorial teaching will
be required, for which extra remuneration will be made. The postholder will
also be required to undertake some examining. The post is associated with
