Guidelines on APEL: Meeting the standards
A workshop presented by Dr Anita Walsh, Chair of SEEC and Professor Bob
Johnson, Johnson Associates
The presenters have drafted a guide to support the implementation of the
QAA guidelines to APEL for those institutions using a credit framework.
This workshop will give participants the opportunity to investigate how
best to meet the standards set out in the QAA guidelines. SEEC has
considerable expertise in this area, and a number of publications of
direct relevance.
The workshop is also intended to be of value and interest to both new
and established practitioners of APEL, and will provide the opportunity
for small group interaction with colleagues from a number of institutions.
Participations will find it useful to have looked at the QAA guidelines
in advance of attending the workshop.
Purposes
1. Dissemination of QAA guidelines on APEL and the SEEC draft guide to
the implementation
2. Consideration of the SEEC guide to support implementation to meet the
QAA requirements.
