After Sheila's e-mail I checked the pictures with various ex-pet hamsters I have in my collection and it does compare well. The Syrian Hamster bones I have are 26.3mm in length. If it would help you I could scan in the hamster ulna I have with a scale and send that to you.

Hi again! sorry didnt look at the size! the only thing I have that has that
same bent shape with the broad mid-shaft and groove is golden hamster, as
this is 27mm GL and the common hamster Cricetus is much bigger, I think you
should try this? I'm afraid I don't have one to check.
