Places are still available on these Netskills workshops at Strathclyde University next week:
1. Detecting and Deterring Plagiarism (27th September)
This is a practical workshop aimed at staff in further and
higher education who wish to find out more about the impact
of the web on plagiarism, and how to deal with it.
Participants will gain a thorough understanding of
plagiarism issues, explore essay banks, online plagiarism
detection and approaches to deterring plagiarism.
2. Databases on the Web (28th September)
This is a practical workshop for those wishing to publish
database-driven content on the web. The workshop gives an
overview of the tools and techniques available and teaches
the key practical skills necessary to use them. Topics
covered include Microsoft Access, Active Server Pages (ASP)
and PHP with MySQL.
