In the past there has been discussion about Web log analysis tools. Members
of the list will be aware of the limitations of such findings (caching,
robots, IP address issues, etc.). However monitoring site traffic is
important. Has anyone explored the use of externally hosted Web usage
services e.g. SiteMeter, Nedstat, etc? Any thoughts on this approach?
Note that Mike Lowndes, Natural History Museum, ran a session on this at
IWMW 2005 - see
