I'd also be interested to see how the whole thing is handled, as the whole
issue of communication important information to students is one that we're
always dealing with.
This might be tricky as you can't *assume* that students are going to bring
a mobile phone to University (although they probably will), so if
information is provided in this way it would have to be as an extra
channel. At the moment I believe we do have a field for mobile phone number
in Sussex Direct (our MLE).
