Launch of two exciting new digital collections

Monday 25 July 2005, 12.00 - 2.00pm
Goldsmiths College, University of London, New Cross, London SE14 6NW

The Constance Howard Resource and Research Centre in Textiles
(CHRRCT), in conjunction with the Arts and Humanities Data Service
(AHDS) Visual Arts, invites you to celebrate the digital release of
The Material Collection and The Slide Collection on 25 July 2005, at
Goldsmiths College.

The internationally renowned Centre, which features the pioneering
work of textile students from Goldsmiths, is delighted to be launching
its first image collection; a rich anthology of images, resulting from a
three-year AHRC* funded project which has attracted widespread support
from the arts community.

AHDS Visual Arts will showcase some of the digital collections' special
features
such as the use of multiple images to show work from many angles and in
greater detail, and links to more in-depth descriptive data to further
enhance the richness of the work, The launch of this new digital
collection will provide a fascinating insight into the work and support
that AHDS Visual Arts offers and the collections they hold and manage.

If you would like to attend, please contact AHDS Visual Arts on
01292 892723 or email [log in to unmask]
