If you were at GridPP14 then here's a reminder, and if you weren't there,
this is what you missed:
If you're going to be at All Hands and I don't already know you're going,
please can you tell me.
As last year, GridPP is part of the PPARC e-Science stand, shared with
AstroGrid. We are stand 25, which is near the exit for the marquee. There is
a new stand design and new information leaflets. (see
http://www.gridpp.ac.uk/gridpp14/gridpp14_dissemination.ppt for pictures)
You can find useful information about the stand and specifications of the
equipment we've got on the AstroGrid wiki:
http://wiki.astrogrid.org/bin/view/Astrogrid/AhmSep05Plan
We will have GridPP rugby shirts (navy with the GridPP logo embroidered on
the chest) and will be giving out PPARC-logo mice. There will be a programme
of themed timeslots in which experts from GridPP and AstroGrid will give
demos and talk to people. The timetable is also on the AstroGrid wiki, with
an additional timeslot of 13.30 - 14.00 on Wednesday on Information
Monitoring.
Templates for posters and presentations are on
http://www.gridpp.ac.uk/docs/. If you are taking a poster and would like me
to print it out and take it for you, please email it to me by the end of
Tuesday 13th September. It will be up to you to collect your poster from me
at All Hands and put it up in the right place. I can provide velcro.
Extract from the All Hands website:
"The Poster boards will be 0.75m in width and 2m in height so all posters
must be in Portrait mode only and NOT Landscape. Biggest poster can be A1,
840mm(h)x 594mm(w) and will be attached to the board with velcro."
If you want to produce a poster for the stand please email me. (I think this
is mostly the people covering the 'expert' timeslots). There will be limited
space so we'll have to rotate posters, i.e. display the poster relevant to
the current theme. These posters will have to be small. (exactly how small I
need to work out)
If you've got any questions, let me know.
