Call for Papers (continuing) - "Current Issues in Method and Practice" (new
section of Current Issues in Tourism, published by Channel View
Publications)
This is a continuing Call for Papers and, as such, there is no specific
deadline for submission.
While the study of tourism and tourists as discrete but dynamic and
interrelated phenomena has grown significantly, there is a continuing need
for regular discussion and dissemination of the means by which knowledge(s)
are formulated, encapsulated and disseminated. The new 'Current Issues in
Method and Practice' section of Current Issues in Tourism is designed to
facilitate and provide a platform for these discussions.
Short articles and/or research notes (2000-5000 words) that explore specific
research methods or methodologies as they relate to tourism research are
welcome. We particularly welcome submissions that have as their focus:
a) a specific methodological approach/issue/context (for example, issues of
ontology and epistemology in tourism research);
b) an exploration of a particular method, where the focus is purely on the
operationalisation of that method as opposed to the information it yields.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The general submission guidelines with respect to style and format shall
follow those previously established for the journal (see
www.business.otago.ac.nz/tourism/current-issues/Submissions.html).
All submissions should be submitted directly to the Editor, Dr David Timothy
Duval, via email on [log in to unmask] (Word or Acrobat format
preferred).
Submissions initially deemed suitable for the section will be anonymously
reviewed by two independent assessors. Please note that it is Channel
View's policy not to review papers which are currently under consideration
by other journals.
