Dear SPMers,
I have extracted the time course data (1st eigenvariate) for each
subject in my study averaged over a specified ROI (using Matthew Brett's
MarsBar).
I have two questions regarding this data:
1. What exactly does the 1st eigenvariate represent? Is this variable
fitted/adjusted/filtered in any way? Is it a good measure of signal
intensity?
2. Does it makes sense to simply take the mean of the time courses to
represent the average group time course? If so, how can I explain this
in terms of change in signal?
Thanks!
Mike
