Dear Chris,
check out SPM5b. I think, you will find what you are looking for. You can specify a complete analysis with all subjects (either as fixed-effects with all subjects or fixed-effects for each subject separately, etc. If you need to remove one subject from the design, simply delete him from the process-tree. Same for pre-processing etc. So, quite nice to use it.
