Dear SPM'ers and MriCRo'ers,
We are trying to port our BAMM software to the NiFTI format, and so far all
the images that have been produced by our software could be displayed
perfectly by MriCRo.
NiFTI supports multidimensional images up to 7D, and for one part of the
analysis software, we need a sequence of 3D images that is not a time
series. To keep in line with the NiFTI specs, we are using the 5th
dimension for this sequence (ie. dim[0]=5, dim[1..3]=volume size, dim[4]=1,
dim[5]=length of sequence).
MriCro opens this image, but (probably because it only checks the first
4 dimensions) not as a sequence. It does display voxels outside the
image matrix, which looks a bit odd.
A very good reason for MriCRo not using dimensions 5..7 is that viewing and
interpreting them is usually difficult. To view these multidimensional
images as a sequence of volumes, would it be possible to change MriCRo so
that a >4 dimensional image is loaded as a sequence of (dim[4] * dim[5] *
dim[6] * dim[7]) 3D volumes?
Many thanks,
Alle Meije Wink
