A postdoctoral position is available immediately at the Laboratory of
Neuroimaging and Mood and Anxiety Disorder Program, Department of
Psychiatry, Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. We are seeking to
appoint an experienced functional MRI Researcher to join a multidisciplinary
research team investigating neurobiological correlates of emotion processing
and regulation in healthy volunteers and patients with mood and anxiety
disorders. Successful applicants for the position will have a Ph.D., or
equivalent degree, along with significant research experience in designing
and performing fMRI or related brain imaging studies. Extensive knowledge of
programming (e.g. MATLAB) and fMRI data analysis with SPM or other packages
is a plus.
The Laboratory of Neuroimaging and Mood and Anxiety Disorder Program, Mount
Sinai School of Medicine in New York, is also seeking a research assistant
for MRI studies. The primary duties of the position are to (1) administer
cognitive neuroscience experiments, (2) perform MRI data analysis, and (3)
write reports detailing the application of (1) and (2). A successful
candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills with
particular emphasis on writing. Highly desired are computer skills including
but not limited to: basic scripting (shell and batch scripts), familiarity
with Unix/Linux environments, and MATLAB. Understanding of basic statistics
is recommended. Any neuroscience knowledge or prior medical imaging
experience is a plus.

commitment is requested.
The Mount Sinai Laboratory of Neuroimaging is a research laboratory in the
department of Psychiatry. The primary purpose of the lab is to facilitate MR
research with investigators in the department. Presently, the main focus of
research in the lab involves functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)
studies. In addition, the laboratory is designed to create and develop new
imaging technologies and study paradigms.
