*Post-doctoral research fellowship in real-time fMRI*
A post-doctoral research fellowship in real-time fMRI is available at
the California Institute of Technology. The project will involve
implementing real-time fMRI on a state of the art Siemens Trio 3T MR
system at the Caltech Brain Imaging Center, and carrying out experiments
establishing direct conditioning of neural activity in sensory-motor
cortices. Candidates should have (or about to have) a doctoral degree in
neuroscience, engineering, applied physics, cognitive neuroscience,
experimental psychology, or a related discipline. Ability to program in
C/Matlab is essential. A background in statistical methods as applied to
brain imaging data and/or MR physics would be an advantage. The project
is a collaboration between the laboratories of Dr. John O’Doherty and
Dr. Shin Shimojo at California Institute of Technology. The position is
for 1 year in the first instance, renewable for a further year.
The successful candidate will be supported by the Dana Foundation and by
JST(Japan Science and Technology Corportation) - ERATO(Exploratory
Research for Advanced technology) "Implicit Brain Functions" project.
Applicants should send a CV, a brief statement of research interests and
the names of three academic referees before Sept 15th 2005 to: Dr John
O’Doherty, e-mail: [log in to unmask]
<mailto:[log in to unmask]>._
Informal enquiries are encouraged.
