Dear group,
I have several questions about plotting in spm2:
Is there any documentation I can read on the changes in plotting options for
spm2 as compared to spm99?
I notice that the Contrast of Parameter estimate plot for spm2 no longer uses
the Standard error, but rather the "CI". Do I correctly assume this refers to
the confidence interval?
I am also trying to understand whether I can legitimately compare the contrast
estimates for different subjects. I have read that the units of effect size
are based on a whole brain average, but also that the global mean is scaled to
100 by grand mean scaling.
So, if all subjects are scaled to 100, then maybe it IS legitimate to compare
contrast estimates for one subject to those of another?
Furthermore, I am wondering if the legitimacy of cross-subject comparisons is
affected by choices I make during data specification, like whether or not I
remove global effects.
Thankyou for your time,
Dianne
