I assume that you are using SPM99 (which is now very ancient), where this
question refers to the orientation that your original data are stored in.
The idea in SPM99 (not SPM2 or SPM5b) is that the spatially normalised images
should be stored using a right-handed orientation. If the original data are
stored as left-handed then the storage of the voxels themselves are flipped.
If you are a user of SPM2 or SPM5b, then please ignore this email. It has
absolutely no relevence to you.
