Medical Numerics is seeking a mathematically-oriented Staff Scientist with
2-8 years professional experience (which may include post-doctoral fellowship
experience) in functional MRI. The Staff Scientist will provide
mathematical, statistical, and methodological support for the development of
our next generation of clinical neuroimaging products.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (US
Citizens or Permanent Residents only). Applicants must have a Master's
degree or higher (Ph.D. preferred) in Biomedical Engineering, Physics,
Computer Science, Mathematics, or in a comparable technical field with a
strong emphasis on mathematics and statistics. Applicants must possess a
thorough understanding of, and expertise developing, algorithms that perform
the statistical analysis techniques employed in functional MRI, such as
parametric mapping and indepdendent components analysis. Applicants should
also have substantial expertise developing image processing algorithms
related to functional MRI, such as reconstruction, motion correction,
smoothing, segmentation, and/or co-registration, as well as experience
performing functional MRI analyses using packages such as AFNI, FSL, MEDx,
and/or SPM. Experience developing software with C++ and the standard C++
library is highly desirable, as is experience with formal software
engineering processes and ISO-9001 quality concepts.
