If you have a list of coordinates (in mm) then you can use this function
to get the raw image intensity.
Joel
function Y=intensity(mm,files)
% Usage: Y=intensity(mm,files[optional])
% Input
% mm = 3 x N matrix of coordinates in mm
% files[optional] = array of image file name (with full path)
% Output
% Y = matrix of image intensities for each file(row) & voxel(column)
if nargin<2
P=spm_get(Inf,'IMAGE','Select Image Files');
else
P=files;
end
V=spm_vol(P);
for i=1:size(V)
for j=1:size(mm,2)
vox(:,j)=V(i).mat\[mm(:,j); 1];
end
Y(i,:)=spm_sample_vol(V(i),vox(1,:),vox(2,:),vox(3,:),0);
end
