The warning is because you haven't run the spm_defaults.m file first. If you
would normally have defaults.analyze.flip set to 1, then the warning is of no
consequence. If you normally have it set to 0, then your data are completely
messed up.
If functions are run from outside the spm user interface, then you must run
spm_defaults before doing anything else.
