Dear Johannes,
as for the warnings - this is not nice, but doesn't harm. For the contrast
error, there were some hints on this helpline sometime ago. Searching
the archives of this mailing list for Matlab7 or Matlab R14 should turn
something up. If I'm right, it might have something to do with the
javafigures feature or acceleration or both.
