This suggestion made us realize that we could use the appropriate contrast in the task vs.
baseline comparison to check out the motor cortex activation since subjects used one hand to give
button press responses.
I'm still hoping to find out more generally what I might be doing wrong (if indeed it looks like
the motor cortex activation comes out on the "wrong" side) so I'll keep the list posted about
whether I get the expected motor activation.
