Yes. This on-off variable can be set up to drive activity in
a number of regions. SPM will be able to estimate
the intrinsic connectivity.
However, DCM is primarily designed to look for changes in
connectivity. To do this you need to have another
experimental factor to attribute those changes to.
So the overall answer is yes you can use DCM but you
would'nt be using its main functionality.
