An in vivo neuroimaging research group in the Department of Psychiatry and
Behavioral Sciences in the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta,
Georgia is seeking a postdoctoral fellow for a 2-3 year training position in
clinical neuroscience. An excellent training opportunity exists for a
qualified candidate to be involved in neural activation and connectivity MR
imaging and molecular PET imaging in exploring the basis of human drug
addiction. The group is currently focusing on the neural basis of the
genetic, environmental (early trauma) and developmental bases of
vulnerability to drug abuse and addiction, of the effects of cocaine
dependence on cognitive control of behavior, and of induced intense
motivation for drug use. A strong biomedical imaging research facility and
human subject recruitment facilities are in place. Candidates should have a
PhD in neuroscience or a related discipline and excellent interpersonal
skills. Preference will be given to candidates with prior training in PET or
fMRI and experience with humans as research subjects. Opportunities for
independent research will be available. Send letter of introduction, resume
and contact information to Dr. Clinton Kilts via email to his administrative
assistant Lisa Page [log in to unmask] or snail mail to 101 Woodruff
Circle, Suite 4000, Atlanta, GA 30322.
