It worked, I deleted the files from the previous normalization step and
everything worked fine.
Sorry, I was not aware of an interference of files from previous
analyses in the same directory.

If SPM crashes, then it is very useful to send us the error message.
This
usually gives clues about why it crashed. If I was to take a random
guess,
then it may be because you need to delete the original spatially
normalised
images first.
