I prefer (X)medcon especially in the command line version:
http://xmedcon.sourceforge.net/
(for debian just apt-get install medcon, xmedcon)
you need "nice names" for your images. If you don't have them:
medcon -alias -f all_files
(Unix users might like -ean for symlinks)
for structural data:
medcon --stack-slices -c anlz -f all_slice_files_of_one_volume
for mosaic data:
medcon -mosaic -gap -c anlz -f all_mosaic_files_of_one_series
The automatic "-mosaic" does only work on some Visions (and not at all on
newer Siemens DICOMS). If it fails:
medcon -fmosaic=64x64xslice_num -gap -c anlz -f all_mosaic_files_of_one_series
(if you have a 64x64 voxel matrix).
I also have a tool for reconstructing the position of the slices in the
scanner like spm2 does for newer DICOMS (the mat files), but it involves some
compiling and scripting and I am not sure if it only works for me (worked on
3 different Visions though). If there's demand I could set up a HOWTO for
that.
Regards,
Roland
