For SPM2, you would overwrite the files with the contents of
ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm2_updates/ (see
http://www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/software/spm2/#Updates ).
For SPM99, you would use ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm99_updates/
