ESSA 2005: Representing social reality: approaches and results
The third annual conference of the European Social Simulation Association,
together with
• the autumn meeting of the Research Committee on Modelling and
Simulation of the German Sociological Association
will be held at the Koblenz Campus of the University of Koblenz-Landau
from September 7 to 9, 2005.
On September 6 the conference is preceded by a number of tutorials and
software presentations, see www.essa.eu.org/ESSA2005/Tutorials.html (where
registration for the tutorials is also possible). Tutorials are free, even
for those who do not participate in the ESSA 2005 conference.
“Representing social reality” is a very broad theme, and ESSA 2005 is open
to all applications of simulation to social science; so all submissions
under the main theme were welcome — the discussion will be about social
reality represented in models, not just about representing at large, and
in the final papers and presentations, results will be more welcome than
just approaches.
More information can be found at http://www.essa.eu.org/ESSA2005/, please
use this link also for registration and for booking accomodation. A
provisional program with a list of sessions, accepted presentations and
posters is also available from http://www.essa.eu.org/ESSA2005/
