'Method or Madness? History and Disparate Approaches'

This conference aims to discuss a range of computer assisted methodologies
in a multidisciplinary setting. Papers are welcome from academics in
history, social sciences, archaeology, computer science, statistics,
genealogy or other disciplines that make use of computer assisted
methodologies that are, or could, be applied to historical research.
Methodologies may include, but are not limited to:
Visualisation
Simulation
Multilevel statistical techniques
Event history analysis
GIS
Textual analysis
Content-based image analysis
200 word abstracts are invited on any of the areas above. Abstracts should
indicate the current or potential application to history.
Submissions from staff in Further Education and Postgraduates are
particularly welcome. Postgraduates presenting a paper are eligible for a
free place, £50 contribution towards expenses and membership of the AHC for
one year.

Submission as an email attachment in MS Word or RTF format is preferred. All
submissions will be 'blind' peer reviewed.
